Cyclops design I did. Again, I wanted to sort of stick to the classic, but also update it with a few flares of my own. Can't imagine having to draw those boots over and over though:)

Very nice, I was always a bigger fan of the old "bald" head look rather than the 90's version. The belt and the visor add some "flare" like you said, but I would suggest simplifying the boots a little, they look a little over-the-top compared to the rest of him, and it would certainly help with repeatability. Just my two cents, nice job though!
